Designing Your Septic System

SEPTIC DESIGN SERVICES

BMP has established a direct relationship with a number of local contractors who specialize in septic construction. From the start of a project until the end, there is only one design company required with BMP.

We first perform a field survey to determine property lines, topography, set benchmarks, existing improvements, adjacent wells, and septics. Next, we coordinate with the contractor and county to execute soil test pits to determine existing subsurface conditions and groundwater elevation in the area of the proposed system. Soil samples are obtained for permeability testing.

The septic design is then completed, county health department applications are prepared, and the package is submitted. BMP will coordinate with the county to ensure everything goes smoothly throughout the approval process.

Upon approval from the county health department, BMP will coordinate with the contractor to ensure smooth construction, address any field discrepancies, and provide necessary as-builts and soil certifications.
